Paul J. Doucette has been practicing law since 2006, with a focus on business, commercial and financing matters and disputes, labor and employment law, and commercial real estate transactions.
Mr. Doucette represents businesses and financial institutions in commercial matters involving contract, note and guaranty litigation, mortgage foreclosure cases, loan documentation, loan restructuring and workouts, and the enforcement and collection of judgments. Mr. Doucette has also represented owners, general contractors, subcontractors and material suppliers in contract and mechanic’s lien matters.
Mr. Doucette represents employers in labor and employment matters brought before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and in state and federal court, including those brought under the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disability Act, the Illinois Wage Payment and Collection Act and related statutes. Mr. Doucette has negotiated and litigated non-competition provisions of employment agreements, and has negotiated employment separation agreements.
Mr. Doucette represents clients in connection with the acquisition, development, leasing and disposition of vacant land, office, industrial, retail, and multi-unit residential property. He advises on entity formation, and negotiates contracts, leases, license agreements, installment sale contracts and option agreements. Mr. Doucette also represents clients involving the purchase and sale of residential real estate, businesses, assets and other transactions.
