After receiving his undergraduate degree, Dick successfully passed the Certified Public Accountants Exam, and received his CPA designation in 1976. Later, he passed the exam to practice as a Certified Financial Planner, and was awarded the CFP designation in 1991.  While he no longer practices under either certification, the challenge of obtaining them was a wonderful learning experience that contributed greatly to the other practical experience gathered over the years.  He was employed by a CPA firm prior to joining the law firm of Bernard Kleinman, Ltd, in 1978, where he was employed until the formation of Ginsparg Bolton and Associates, Ltd (GBA), in 2000.  GBA became associated with Kelly, Olson, Michod, DeHaan and Richter, LLC, in January, 2015, where Dick is presently Of Counsel.

Dick's practice areas include: individual and business income tax planning and return preparation; financial, estate and gift planning, and return preparation; wills and trusts; corporate and business transactions and planning; and representation before Internal Revenue Service.
